L-Carnitine Liquid

L-Carnitine 2X Liquid provides double (1g) the potency of some competing brands per serving size.

Serving Size: 1 Tablespoon (15 mL)

Servings per container: 31

SUGGESTED USAGE: As a dietary supplement, take 1 tablespoon liquid L-Carnitine, two times daily, preferably on an empty stomach.

L-Carnitine’s protective benefits include heart health, mental wellness, fat burning and more energy. And the more energy our cells produce, the slower they age. Technically, carnitine is not an amino acid. But years ago, it was erroneously classified and the name stayed.

Carnitine is a water-soluble coenzyme compound similar to Choline – one of the B vitamins. This amino acid is present in high concentrations in brain and nerve tissue. Due to its cholinergic activity, Carnitine is involved in the formation of the neurotransmitter acetyl Choline and the improvement of age-related cognitive deficits.

L-Carnitine has demonstrated the ability to promote oxygenation of brain and heart muscle. It also acts as a carrier of fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they are oxidized and converted to energy. Carnitine thus increases the use of fat as an energy source and prevents fat buildup, especially in the brain, heart, liver (including alcohol-induced fatty liver) and skeletal muscles. Carnitine also reduces diabetes-related risk factors caused by poor fat metabolism and decreased immune functions.

Vegetable sources including grains contain only minimal amounts of carnitine. Meats such as lamb and mutton, followed by beef, contain more. But to get the 250 to 500 mg of optimal carnitine, you would need to consume more than 2 pounds of beef every day. As we grow older, we need much more carnitine.
